Our 3-week vacation in Madagascar was a unique experience! Klaus organized an excellent tour for us, which took us from Antananarivo via Andsirabe, Ramofana and the Isalo Mountains to the west coast and along there to Belo-sur-mer and back again. Klaus has perfectly implemented our wishes in our time window. 3,000 km in 3 weeks are already sporty, but with such an excellent driver as Tojo no problem - although the roads in the area of the villages are peppered with chickens, chameleons, zebu carts, cyclists, small and large people, there was not one critical situation despite a brisk driving style - he probably did not even run over a fly. As self-drivers we would not have been able to manage the route. With Asina we had a good German speaking guide, who answered all our questions at any time gladly and competently. The two of them took care of us perfectly! With your own guide and driver you learn about 100 times more about the country than from guidebooks or traveling in large groups. And Klaus is always available in the background if there should be a problem - and there was. On the way, lenses from our photo equipment were stolen from a lodge, and only through Klaus` tireless intervention during and after the trip, we got a replacement for the stolen parts - thanks again, dear Klaus! But I would also like to emphasize the perfect selection of hotels/lodges, also here it shows that Klaus has been living in Madagascar for 26 years and knows the country from ff. The west coast is a special experience, which should be included in the planning if possible. Otherwise, there is also a tour to the deepest south, which is certainly very exciting - we have for another trip in mind. Veit & Inge... Collapse
