Travel time May to June: Transition to the dry season - the perfect transition period
The transition period begins in May. Rainfall becomes less frequent and temperatures are pleasantly mild. In April and until mid-May, nature is still green before the landscape slowly changes to shades of brown and yellow.
"The period up to the end of June is ideal for botanical discoveries and trekking," says Klaus. The central highlands and the south in particular offer spectacular landscapes. From the end of June, it gets noticeably cooler in the highlands, which is particularly pleasant for active vacationers.

"Winter in Madagascar attracts many tourists," explains Klaus. While temperatures drop to 10-20°C in the central highlands, it remains warm enough for beach vacations on the coasts. In the rainforest, however, it can drizzle unpleasantly.
