It goes to Ramena to the three bays that have a breathtaking sight offer. Alternatively, a visit to the Francais assembly with its numerous baobabs and succulents on the plan.a wonderful excursion that should preferably be done with a quad or mountain bike. We first reach the bay of Sakalava, then the bay of the doves and finally the bay of the dunes before arriving at the beach of Orangea and the village of Ramena (another beautiful beach). The sandy path winds through forests of achypodia and xerophytic species. From Ramena you can also visit the 3 bays on foot, one way takes about 4 hours. Note, however, that it is often very windy and the sun hits very hard!Overnight again at Hotel Alamanda

Day 4 - Ramena and the Emerald Sea

On the fourth day, we again head towards Ramena, this time visiting the so-called Emerald Sea is on the plan. This is a multitude of small and uninhabited islands and a fascinating beautiful lagoon, where extensive snorkeling and swimming is a lot of fun.The Emerald Sea is a lagoon of Madagascar, located at the entrance of the bay of Diego-Suarez in the extreme north of the country. Protected from tourism, the turquoise sea and some deserted islets can be reached by fishing boats from the village of Ramena. It is an extensive lagoon with a turquoise hue due to its shallow waters combined with sandy bottoms. It is separated from the Indian Ocean by a coral reef and a series of islets. The 3 main islands are Nosy Antaly Be, Nosy Diego and Nosy Suarez.

Day 5 Montagne d'Ambre National Parc

The next two days will be dedicated to the Montagne D'Ambre National Parkswhere volcanic massifs and inspiring forest areas, waterfalls, hidden lakes and the fascinating flora and fauna of the forest line up. The park is famous for its waterfalls, crater lakes and wildlife.Montagne d'Ambre is located near Joffreville (Ambohitra), about 27 km southwest of Diego Suarez (Antsiranana). Joffreville, a former retreat for French officers now in disrepair, is the entrance to the park.Montagne d'Ambre consists of montane rainforest, mid-elevation and dry deciduous forest. It has wide hiking trails and campsites, and is characterized by wind and cool weather that even gets quite cold at night.Montagne d'Ambre is known for its rich diversity of reptiles, especially chameleons.Overnight at Alamanda Hotel

Days 6 and 7 Ankarana National ParkThis reserve contains one of the highest primate densities of any forest in the world. Its dense forests harbor one of the largest and least disturbed populations of crowned lemurs. Sanford's brown lemur, black Perrier's lemur, northern sporting lemur and pygmy lemurs, ringed mongoose, fossa, tenrecs and Madagascar striped civet are also a common sight. Day 8- From Ankarana to Ambanja

The town of Ambanja is located on the banks of the Sambirano River, in a very fertile valley completely planted with cacao trees. It is one of the wettest parts of the west coast. The village even has its own cathedral with a surprising history (the 19th century metal structure belonged to the Strasbourg train station...)The road to the village is lined with teks or mantalias, large trees that provide generous shade. There are no attractions in the area. It is just a simple stopover on the way to Nosy Be. The stopover here is necessary because the hotels are slightly better than in Ankify.

Day 9 - With the Ferry to Nosy Be

From Ambanja, after breakfast, we go straight to Ankify to the port. The Nosy Be archipelago is located on the northwest coast of Madagascar and is actually quite well known and has very nice hotel facilities. Its tropical climate and excellent location make Nosy Be Madagascar's beach resort par excellence. Not to mention, this still beautiful island offers some amazing snorkeling and diving opportunities and some primary forests with great wildlife.

Days 10 to 13 - Nosy Be and surrounding Islands

The landscape of Nosy Be is varied and characterized by numerous hills overlooked by Mount Lokone (450 m) and Mount Passot (350 m).From these high vantage points you have an exceptional view of the bay of Nosy Be, but also of the Radama Islands (south) and the Mitsio Islands (north). There are eleven volcanic lakes on the island, providing an enormous water reserve for people and crops. The entire coastline is punctuated by a multitude of beautiful bays and secluded, palm-fringed beaches. There are also many small islets and rocks, often visited by shelters in search of some privacy.Temperatures are pleasant all year round. Note that humidity can be particularly poor during the tropical summer.Nosy Be offers a wide range of activities that will please even the most discerning visitor.Escape the crowds on white sand beaches, blue-green seas and amazing coral reefs. Explore the lush jungle at Lokobe Nature Reserve and make the most of your vacation by visiting some of the surrounding islands.Treat yourself to a day cruise to the outer islands of Nosy Komba, Nosy Tanikely and Nosy Sakatia; join a diving adventure in the jewel-like archipelago of Nosy Mitsio or embark on a voyage of discovery to the remote Radama Islands with amazingly rich underwater life. You can still find your own way to explore the natural wonders of this archipelago far from the tourist centers. We are here to help you plan it.

Appeal for donations

After 10 months of total inactivity, self-employed people in the tourism industry in Madagascar are completely without income. There is no opening of the borders in sight in Madagascar and we are at the beginning of the rainy season, which is the low season, even in normal times. I have started a fundraiser for the guides and drivers I know well. From this money we will buy rice and other essentials and distribute them regularly, if possible, until the resumption of travel activities in April 2021 at the earliest. My special thanks to those who have already donated. I will start buying rice tomorrow and will begin distributing it this week.
