We were from 07.09. to 23.09.14 in Madagascar with Klaus and Nicole on the road. The two had prepared everything perfectly and selected very nice hotels. The itinerary was great and there was also time for little "extras". The route went from Tana via Antsirabe, Ialatsara, Manakara, Ranomafana, Ambalavao, Ranohira to Sarondrano. One highlight followed the other. At the end of the trip we were still two days with Klaus' driver Aina on the way to Andasibe. Aina is much more than just a driver. He also took care of us perfectly. So that we can say "An all around successful trip". We will keep many moving moments and extraordinary pictures in our hearts. Thank you Klaus, Nicole and Aina... After 10 months of total inactivity, self-employed people in the tourism industry in Madagascar are completely without income. There is no opening of the borders in sight in Madagascar and we are at the beginning of the rainy season, which is the low season, even in normal times. I have started a fundraiser for the guides and drivers I know well. From this money we will buy rice and other essentials and distribute them regularly, if possible, until the resumption of travel activities in April 2021 at the earliest. My special thanks to those who have already donated. I will start buying rice tomorrow and will begin distributing it this week.
