Children of all ages are welcome and there are safe facilities for them. The environment is level and well maintained, there are staff that can take special care of children.
Masoala Forest Lodge is so remote, accessible only by foot or by sea. It offers absolute exclusivity in a remote corner of Masoala National Park.
This small and intimate lodge with limited capacity for a maximum of 14 guests offers excellent access to some of Madagascar's rare and endemic species as well as miles of beaches along the coast.

The travel days in detail
Day 1: You will arrive in Maroantsetra by private flight.For your tour to the rainforest of the Masoala Peninsula, Maroantsetra is the first port of call. Here you land by private charter plane from Antananarivo. From the airport there is a direct transfer to the port. A motorboat will bring you connect through the bay of Antongil to Masoala Forest Lodge. With a little luck, you can already observe some dolphins and also whales, which feel at home in the bay, during the almost two-hour trip. In addition, you will enjoy a magnificent view of the forested hills of the National Park of the Peninsulas during the crossing. Upon arrival at the Masoala Peninsula the team will accompany you about the golden private beach up to the lodge. There you can lunch at the idyllically located beach house enjoy. Afterwards, if you wish, you can already go on a first exploration tour and enjoy the beach or a cool swim in the sea. Towards evening then stands a Sundowner around the campfire on the schedule. |

Day 2: First excursion to Masoala RainforestOn Masoala there is a child friendly flora and fauna before: There are no poisonous plants or animalsthat the children might encounter while exploring the rainforest - not even annoying thorns get in their way. Even when bathing Aquatic animals no danger There are no mosquitoes. Unpleasant and annoying mosquitoes and other flying insects, which are usually omnipresent in the tropics, are present in Masoala only in small numbers. It is also untypical that in this natural paradise no tropical diseases exist. In the Masoala Reserve, the classic dangers of the tropical zone such as poisonous snakes or spiders, leeches, sea urchins or even sharks are not to be found. Tropical diseases like malaria or dengue fever do not exist either. This safe environment offers you the possibility to breathtaking nature of the island of Madagascar The activities will be discussed on the spot and are already included in the price. |

Day 3: Numerous activities for your childrenFor your children there is a lot to do on the Masoala Peninsula. The forest they can without adult company explore and conquer. The color-coded trails in our private reserve provide constant orientation (see map). A special highlight offers the treasure hunt organized by us. While romping around in the forest, with a bit of luck you might spot some of Madagascar's rare animals such as chameleons, frogs, geckos or even colorful butterflies. To cool off after the sweaty treasure hunt, the children can swim on our private beach. But it can also be paddled sitting in a kayak or standing on the particularly popular "stand-up paddle board". The underwater world can be discovered while snorkeling. |

Day 4: Child friendly ambienceIn all activities we offer a 24h care by a nanny that will accompany your children throughout the day. This gives you the opportunity to take advantage of our full range of offers, including the longer kayak tours or hikes, without you and your children being unnecessary stress on vacation in Madagascar to have to sit out. Incidentally, we also offer children's menus at meals, which are optimally adapted to the tastes of the youngest. The suggestions and information just presented are primarily suggestions. Decide for yourself which adventures you would like to experience today and feel free to contact us if we can help you with the arrangement.How about for example a romantic picnic on a small private beachwhich you have all to yourself. Swim there, unpack the snorkel and enjoy once again the pleasant waves of the Indian Ocean.Or visit once again the Masoala rainforest and look out for rare birds and fascinating lemurs.Those who prefer to recover a little from the adventures of the last few days, instead just relax in the hammock and let the sun and the indescribable atmosphere pampering. In addition, today you can also expect a very traditionally prepared and served dinner: Rice and grilled fish are served with traditional sauces and snacks on ravenala leaves. This is also an exciting experience not to be missed. |

Day 7: Finally a trip to Nosy MangabeThe last day of your trip to Masoala Peninsula is in some respects filled with a sense of departure, but still holds some indispensable experiences and experiences After breakfast you will leave for by motorboat to Nosy Mangabe.
