More than 90 % of the roads are not paved. Even the two-lane \"Routes Nationales\" between the larger cities only permit speeds of up to 80 km\/h. Outside the built-up area, in Madagascar's beautiful nature, conditions change from dust-dry dirt roads and savannahs to mud and slush holes and smooth laterite tracks. Five thousand kilometers of coastline and seven peaks, each over 2,000 meters high, mountains and desert - Madagascar is a lot of fun for bikers!<\/p>\n<p><strong>12 days \/ 11 nights, including 10 days on the motorcycle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Destination: South of Madagascar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Total distance: 1,155 miles (1,860 km)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A landscape of endless expanses between sky and sea, between scrubland and semi-desert - this is the south of Madagascar. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 3: Antsirabe - Ambositra<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Route length: 87 miles (140 km) on laterite<\/p>\n<p>The day's stage takes you to the fascinating world of the Highlands: through rice fields, small villages and rivers, you will descend the mountains to Ambositra, the center of craftsmanship in Madagascar. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 4: Ambositra - Ranomafana<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Route length: 93 miles (150 km) on laterite<\/p>\n<p>Experience the wildest regions of the \"red island\" on this part of the day. On a dirt road, which quickly becomes muddy, you follow the course of a river in the middle of the original rainforest. The trail continues to Ranomafana National Park. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 5: Ranomafana - Manakara<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Route length: 93 miles (150 km) on asphalt<\/p>\n<p>In the morning you will leave Ranomafana for a beautiful tour on asphalt roads to the regional capital Manakara. In the afternoon you will visit the Pangalanes Canal. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 6: Manakara - Sandravinany<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Route length: 143 miles (230 km) on asphalt and laterite<\/p>\n<p>The day tour starts on asphalt. You will pass Vangaindrano and drive overland along the beaches of the Indian Ocean. In the late afternoon you will reach Sandravinany. On mostly muddy ground you will reach the destination Fort Dauphin. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 8: Fort Dauphin - Lavanono<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Route length: 155 miles (250 km) on asphalt, laterite and sand<\/p>\n<p>The beautiful daily route first takes you several dozen kilometers through the rainforest towards the thorn bushes of the south. You will cross the regions of Anosy and Antandroy and finally arrive at the day's destination Lavanono. This small village is known for its beaches and popular as a surf spot. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 9: Lavanono - Itampolo<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Route length: 143 miles (230 km) on sand<\/p>\n<p>Look forward to an excellent sandy track lined with bushes and undergrowth. The ford crossing of the two great rivers Menarandra and Linta will impress you as well as the succulent forests around the colorfully decorated tombs of the Mahafaly. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 10: Itampolo - Anakao<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Course length: 81 miles (130 km) on sand<\/p>\n<p>You will never forget this image: In Tsimanampetsotsa National Park, you stand on the shore of a lake with milky whitewater, surrounded by petrified trees, home to hundreds of flamingos, golden plovers and other wading birds. You will arrive quietly in Anakao. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 11: Anakao - Tulear<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Route length: 174 miles (280 km) on sand and asphalt<\/p>\n<p>For the last section of the tour, you will start in the morning on a sandy track that will take you to National Road 13 and Betioky. You will cross the Onilahy River, get to National Road 7 and arrive in Tulear in the late afternoon.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Day 12: Tulear - Antananarivo (Transfer)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Depending on the departure time of your flight to Antananarivo, you can still immerse yourself in the bustling streets and market activity in Tulear. A cab will take you to the airport for your flight back to Antananarivo. Here ends our service for you.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><u>Logistics<\/u><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Your guide is an experienced biker and familiar with every millimeter of the route. He will coordinate the escort team of mechanics and riders, guaranteeing your safety and the smooth running of all sections.<\/p>\n<p>Groups with more than five participants will be accompanied throughout the tour by a 4*4 vehicle that will transport all the luggage of the participants as well as the necessary equipment and tools.
